The Three Amigos

 One of the things I love most about Bug is  how much love he has for his brother and his sister.  Many kids with Autism don't show a lot of affection or preference with the people around them.  Bug just loves Boy and Doo Doos and they love him too!  

 Just about everyday when Boy comes home from school, he is met with a huge hug and smile from his brother.  And when Boy has come to Bug's class parties, he clings to Boy like a bee to honey.  Occasionally they do fight, but on a whole they are very good to one another.  Boy is extra kind with his brother and tries very hard to help him and rejoices in Bug's  successes.  He also sticks up for him too if anyone says anything insensitive.  He kindly lets them know about Bug. I even watch Boy try to work with him and say things that we say.  A frequent one is "kind hands Bug."

 Bug and Doo Doos are cute together too.  She gets frustrated at him sometimes, but she seems to have a sense that he is special.  The other morning Bug was waiting for the bus to come and laying on the ground with his backpack on.  Doo Doos comes up and says "backpack,"  and then she looks to me and says "Bug sleeping."  She  then helped lift him up and I asked her to give him a hug.  He was listening and gave her a hug.  It was such a precious moment.  One of those that makes you love being a mom.  I know it seems like such a simple, trivial thing.  But I loved it.  He tries to give her hugs all the time, and it doesn't quite work out because he is so much bigger than her, but it is still cute.  I will sometimes see him looking at her and smiling with this look of "I love you," or "you're cute."

 I love my kids, and I am so glad that even with our challenges,  they love each other too!
