Tooth in Hand!

One of the things I have wondered about is how will I know when he has a loose tooth?  And how on earth will we get it out?!!!  Brushing his teeth is a daily battle, so I was nervous for when the tooth loosing would begin.
So this last week, he has been chewing things more than usual.  He has chewed through part of his coat, an entire knit glove, anything he can get his mouth on.  On friday he found a teething ring (shown below) to take on the bus with him.  When he came from school he kept putting my finger to his mouth saying, "owie, owie."  It took me a while, but I finally figured out that he had a loose tooth!  He did what most kids do, and sat and played with his tooth all day.  He even let me give it a tug a few times, and then after dinner he let me try one more time and it popped out!

I think he was surprised at the blood!  We were so excited we did the "Bug got his tooth out dance!"  It was quite a site to behold!  We showed him his tooth, and he kept trying to take it and put it back in!  So cute!

It went so much smoother than I could have imagined!  Hopefully the rest will go just as well!

  2. Hooray! That could have been a traumatic experience with the blood and all, so I'm glad it went so well. Thanks for sharing!
