Rock, Paper, Scissors!

Bug has a new fascination with using scissors to cut things out.  He used to hate to cut things out, but he is doing so well.  He is starting to recognize different shapes.  He cut out a circle all by himself!  My favorite is first he cut out a circle, and then Hubby helped him cut out a star.  He took them in the living room and turned out the lights.  He wanted to see if the star would shine.  (It is from a Caillou Christmas movie.)  He really LOVES Christmas, in fact last year he was devastated when we took the tree down.  So after Bug did the star thing,  Hubby made him a paper Christmas tree.  Bug was elated, and again took the tree in the living room and turned the lights off.  I am just glad he didn't get upset when it didn't light up, but it was still so cute.

He has continued to try and cut things out for the rest of the weekend.  Whoever thought a kids using scissors could be so exciting?
