Bit by Bit

I haven't posted in a while, mainly because I haven't been sure of what to say. We have been trying to figure out some things with the Bug's schooling and it has been difficult. But I am happy to say through many answered prayers, everything is peaceful again. Not that everything at school is resolved, only that I feel more peaceful about it.

Another good thing from the craziness at school is that it forced me to look into other options to get him help. Sometimes I think I get so used to how life is and how he is that I just go with the flow. That isn't always a bad thing, but there are times that we need to change things up in order to progress.

So currently the Bug is in Occupational Therapy and today we had our first visit with an Autism Consultant. The Consultant has worked in the Autism field for 20 years and she is amazing! She is coming to help figure out his "behaviors." Even from her first visit I learned a lot and feel like I have some positive solutions. We are hoping soon, if insurance will allow, to start Speech Therapy. He is one busy boy! Luckily he seems to love his appointments, and I think it will be a big help this summer with him home and not attending summer school.

So it feels like little things are falling into place and I am excited to see where it is going to take us. I have been so blessed by INCREDIBLE family and friends who listen to me go on and on while I try to figure things out. So I say thank you to all of you who support and love us! We LOVE YOU!
